Juntendo Educational Foundation Basic Policy on the Protection of Personal Information

The founding principle of Juntendo Educational Foundation (hereinafter referred to as "Juntendo") is to respect each individual based on the spirit of "Jin." In accordance with this spirit and the enforcement of the "Act on the Protection of Personal Information" (hereinafter referred to as "Protection Act") and the "Act on the Use of Numbers to Identify a Specific Individual in Administrative Procedures" (hereinafter referred to as "Numbers Act"), Juntendo will implement a basic policy about the protection of personal information throughout Juntendo to properly handle personal information.
Compliance with Laws and Regulations
1 Juntendo will comply with the Protection Act and the Numbers Act, and other related laws and regulations (hereinafter referred to as "Laws and Regulations").Acquisition of Personal Information
2 Juntendo will specify the purpose of use as much as possible and properly acquire personal information within the scope necessary for education, research, and other medical services.Use of Personal Information
3 Juntendo will use personal information within the scope of the purpose of use indicated at the time of acquisition and will not provide personal information to any third party except in accordance with the Laws and Regulations or with the consent of the relevant individual.Juntendo will not disclose Individual Numbers under the Numbers Act for any purpose other than the purposes of use stipulated by the Laws and Regulations, even if the consent of the relevant individual is obtained.
